AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION AGREEMENT

Negotiation on the Avoidance of the Double Taxation Agreement Between Ghana and Malta was held from 2 – 4 May, 2018 in Malta. Ghana’s delegation comprised:  Mr. Philip Mensah, Deputy Commissioner (Legal Affairs and Treaties), Ghana Revenue Authority (Head of Delegation); Mr. Eric Nii Yarboi Mensah, Assistant Commissioner (Legal Affairs and Treaties), Ghana Revenue Authority; Mr. Daniel Atwere Nuer, Head Tax Policy Unit, Ministry of Finance; and Ms. Evelyn Amerley Nuno-Amarteifio, Senior Legal Counsel, Ministry of Finance.  The Maltese side was led by Mr. Aldo Farrugia, Director General, Legal and International office of the Commissioner for Revenue (Head of Delegation); Mr. Anton Vella Laurenti, Director, International Taxation, Legal and International Division, Office of the Commissioner for Revenue; and Dr. Kezia Azzopardi, Analyst II Legal, International Taxation Unit, Office of the Commissioner for Revenue.

The negotiated document on the Avoidance of the Double Taxation Agreement between Ghana and Malta was initialled for implementation at the end of the meeting.  Mission is confident that the negotiation on the Avoidance of the Double Taxation Agreement will inure to the benefit of our two countries.
